“I believe we all have wisdom to share, we sometimes just don’t know where to begin.”

For over a decade, I worked as an educator—both in the classroom and virtually. I’ve always loved helping people learn, grow, and find practical solutions, and that love naturally spilled over into my personal life too. Between tight budgets, long hours, and needing to stretch every dollar, I became the person constantly searching for smarter ways to save money, simplify life, and earn a little extra on the side.

You’ve probably heard of Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom and handicraft. She inspired the name Owls of Athena because this space is all about practical wisdom—tips, ideas, and real-life strategies that help make life a little easier, a little more affordable, and a lot more manageable.

Over the years, I’ve tried a variety of side hustles, DIY projects, and money-saving techniques. Some were great. Some… not so much. But every experiment taught me something, and slowly I began building multiple small streams of income starting back in 2015. That extra income helped me pay off my car, cover unexpected bills, save for vacations, and get through months where money felt tight.

I created this blog to share everything I’ve learned along the way.
From budget-friendly DIY projects to simple side hustles to realistic ways to save money, I only share what I’ve tried, researched, or genuinely believe can help someone else.

I want this to be a place where you feel supported, encouraged, and inspired—whether you’re trying to make an extra $200 a month, cut your expenses, or create a home you love without spending a fortune.

So take a look around, explore the blog, and make yourself at home. I’m glad you’re here, and I hope you find something that helps you become a little wiser, a little more confident, and a lot more empowered on your own journey.
